Learning how to use Teams for project management

Step-by-step guide:

Create a team for your project:

  • Open Teams and click on the "Teams" tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Click on "Join or create a team" at the bottom of the Teams panel.
  • Select "Create a team" and choose the appropriate team type for your project.
  • Name your team and add a description if necessary.
  • Click on "Create" to create your team.

Add team members:

  • Click on the "More options" icon (three dots) next to your team's name.
  • Select "Add member" from the drop-down menu.
  • Enter the email addresses of the team members you want to add.
  • Set the member's role (owner, member, guest) and click on "Add".

Set up channels:

  • Click on the "Channels" tab in your team.
  • Click on "Add channel" and give your channel a name and description.

  • In your team's channel, click on the "Tasks" tab.
  • Click on "Add task" and give your task a name and description.

  • In your team's channel, click on the "Tasks" tab.
